The adverse events in the third treatment were mainly mild, with most being reported as an improvement in the patient's condition.
Methodology:The efficacy of the treatment was compared to a control therapy using sildenafil citrate. Patients were randomized to receive one of three sildenafil citrate dosage regimens. The primary outcome was the incidence of adverse events for the three treatment regimens. The efficacy of the first dosage regimen was compared to the control therapy. The incidence of adverse events in the three treatment regimens was statistically equivalent with a treatment difference of only 0.5%, but no treatment difference was observed for the second and third treatment regimens.

Conclusion:The efficacy of the treatment was comparable to that of the control therapy in patients with PAH.
